Press Release

Son of a farmer in his native town of Thomonde, Plateau Central;Hati, Louinel Jean discovers very early the benefits of nature and uses it as he develops a deep passion for singing. Jean’s music has taken him across the Caribbean and Europe. LJ sings in Creole, French, Spanish and English. His music is uplifting; it brings a message, a melody depicting him as an artist with a moving heart.

With a release due in Boston in April 2011, Miami and Jamaica to follow, we hope the public will have a chance to make MAXIMIZE their song of predilection “This is a call for active hope around the world particularly in Haiti where people face situations that challenge their hope every day. This song is a great inspiration to many particularly to youth of Jamaica where it is used as literary motivational songs in classrooms all over the country.

Jean is a prolific writer producer/artist. He moved to Jamaica in 1998 as a student to major in Global Mission, English and Social Studies. Jean sings Reggae with a unique Latin flavor and takes a borderless approach. He reaches out to those who will listen, from the church to the bar, from the school to the community. Jean is an educator through music; the children of the world sing with him and benefit from his advocacy as it relates to child abuse and other burning social issues. His songs have also been solicited by schools for literary activities.

The love for Children, the affection for his country and his passion for the welfare of human being echoes trough his songs. “I am willing to work to help sustain it where people face extreme conditions that challenge their hope. I want to be remembered as a voice of change for the nations, especially Haiti. My music and blogs testify of that and I know this will soon be known to people far and near. I believe music is the best education portal and every child should be given a chance to explore the benefits that it brings. My particular concern is whether world leaders really have answers for the problems that grip the human race. Particularly, when we consider that, amidst their resolution to tackle poverty by 2015, there are more discussions and spending on wars than on peace, justice, education, love, and development. May all of us come to accept that "the law of love is above all other" this should compel us to act more decisively in an effort to heal the world so that people everywhere, regardless of race, color, and creed may be able to maximize their potential”.
